FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
November 30, 2011
“ONE TEAM FOR THE LIGHTS” AIMS TO HELP SAVE
THE BLUE TWIN BEAMS SEEN FOR 60 MILES ON 9/11.
“One Team for the Lights” mission is to provide an
opportunity for all America to help save Tribute in Light - one of the most incredible memorials in
our nation.
SPORTS MEDIA 101 UNVEILED A NEW CHARITABLE INITIATIVE THAT HAS SET
OUT TO BRING THE SPORTS COMMUNITY OF NEW YORK AND THE COUNTRY TOGETHER TO SAVE
TRIBUTE IN LIGHT. THIS INCREDIBLE MEMORIAL
HONORS THOSE WHO WERE LOST, AS WELL AS THOSE WHO WORKED SO HARD TO GET NEW YORK
CITY AND OUR NATION THROUGH SEPTEMBER 11. THE BLUE TWIN BEAMS OF LIGHT, AN ANNUAL
DISPLAY OF REMEMBRANCE, ARE IN SERIOUS DANGER OF GOING DARK.
Contrary to popular belief, Tribute in Light has always been funded by private donations and
grant money. Over the last ten years these funds have kept the memorial
shining, but they have now been exhausted. “One
Team for the Lights,” in co-operation
with Sports Media 101 and The
Municipal Art Society of New York,
has launched a major fundraising effort to guarantee that thisprecious
memorial remains shining for America.
Pieter Van Iperen and Dan
Benton, founders of Sports Media 101 and life-long residents of New York / New
Jersey, created “One Team for the Lights” because “Tribute in Light is the only memorial that can touch all
of us at the same time. It is a collective way for our area and America to
heal. It is both a memorial to those who have fallen and a luminary of our
future and our pride in our nation and its history of heroism.”
Please join the team and keep Tribute in Light shining. All donations are appreciated. 100% of
each tax-deductible donation made through
“One Team for the Lights” goes
directly to The Municipal Art Society of New York's Tribute in Light. www.sportsmedia101.com/OneTeam/donate.
